Sasco Africa (South Africa) - South Africa’s oldest Gold Mining Group has a number of weighbridges which are critical to their operations and required a solution that:

• Automates the weighing transaction and caters for two types of weighbridge users, namely contractors who routinely collect and offload goods and ad hoc parties.
• Utilise a combination of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, RFID Access cards and manual capture.
• Delivers three images per weighing transaction. These images are of the front, back and load view of the vehicle.
• Operates with positioning sensors and a traffic light system to inform the driver of the correct positioning of the vehicle on the weighbridge and to control vehicle movement.

The solution was delivered using Sasco MultiWeigh, a highly flexible and versatile software platform that can be interfaced with a range of weighbridge technologies in addition to the Bilanciai range.
