Masskot Scale is an African leader in the manufacture and distribution of weighing products and process-control equipment. The MASS Group finds its origin in the creation of Masskot Scale (Pty) Ltd as early as 1971. It started off as a dedicated scale-company and, today, this division ranks amongst the three most significant organisations of its kind in Southern Africa, and only one of two weighbridge manufacturing companies with ISO 9001:2015 Accreditation. Within this SANAS and ISO 9001 accredited company, progressive new technologies, merge with the wisdom of industry experience, and create the future of weighing through cutting-edge research and design.
Diversification became the order of the day and presently the MASS Group has the following High-tech divisions:
Masskot Scales - Manufacturer and Supplier of scale systems and related equipment.
Mass Africa - Trade distribution of scales, loadcells, coin and note counters, barcode printers and scanners, equipment, single board computers, hand-held terminals and RF system components.
Mass E-Engineering - In-house design, research and development of new innovative products and the popular VB2010 weighbridge software. Our Mechanical, Electronic and System Engineers are capable of undertaking the most complex of design tasks, which has resulted in an impressive list of satisfied end-users.

Facilities:
Mass today occupies a three-acre, wholly owned industrial complex positioned in Germiston, the biggest industrial city in South Africa yet only 15 minutes away from the Johannesburg Central Business and Financial district.
Our factory space presently spans some 3 000 metres, with significant extensions being currently undertaken. We design and manufacture a range of intelligent world class indicators locally.

With branch offices in most major centres i.e. Durban, Cape Town, Upington, Emalahleni, Maputo and dedicated distributors throughout other centres in South Africa and Africa. We can address all your sales enquiries, while after-sales service is not only readily available in all centres, but also of the highest quality. MMS is accredited ISO 9001 and SANAS 0259 Laboratory for scale verifications and services by our highly qualified Service Department. Our Calibration lab is SANAS accredited under SANS 17025.
