Thayer Scale-Hyer Industries, Inc. (USA) – THAYER SCALE-HYER INDUSTRIES announced the introduction of a new Model SG-SP mini flat idler conveyor belt scale. The new scale is designed to accurately measure light-to-medium-duty loads and can be incorporated into new or existing conveyors using idlers or slider deck designs. The Model SG-SP is custom engineered to meet the customer’s unique conveyor design, suitable for flat belt conveyors transporting dry products. Available in belt widths from 10” to 48”with either carbon steel or stainless steel (sanitary) configurations available.

Thayer’s Model SG-SP Belt Scale offers many features including easy installation and robust, corrosion resistant components that are virtually maintenance-free. Fitted with high accuracy load cell(s) sized for each unique application produces accuracy from 0.5% – 1.0%.

As a system, one of several Thayer belt scale integrators are available plus a high accuracy belt speed sensor mounted to the conveyor’s tail pulley for integration of load and speed to produce accurate rate (lbs/hr) and totalization. The areas of application range from food, confectionery, and chemicals industries.
