Balanças Marques to conquer new markets

On October 16, 2013

Balanças Marques (Portugal) - Balanças Marques, a company from Portugal specialized in all weighing equipment, participated in several international fairs during September, and the balance is very positive.

The presence in exhibitions in Brazil, Belgium and Iraq can be considered decisive in Portuguese company's international strategy, since it was held in important markets in which recently entered or intends to enter. In the case of Belgium, for some time now are being given safe steps in penetrating this market, in the cases of Brazil and Iraq was a true "open door" for entry in the short term in these important and large markets. The reception to the products submitted was the best possible, which opens up excellent perspectives for the future.

Horeca Life: An important step in expanding in the market of Belgium

A logical expansion on the Belgian market, Balanças Marques participated for the first time in Horeca Life, which was held in Brussels from 15 to 17 September. Together with the local distributor Cosmonet, Balanças Marques showed several of its products at a fair dedicated mainly to the food service sector. During the three days of the event, were immense visitors who visited the stand and contacted with the various products on display, highlighting the scale BM5.

Alimentaria: Brazil "loved" BM5:

Between 16 and 19 September, Balanças Marques participated in the first edition of Alimentaria Brazil. This participation has assumed particular importance because it is the first physical presence at the fair in a giant market like the Brazilian. Paulo Marques, commercial director of the company, stated that "the market loved the product and was amazed with the BM5, it was awesome to know that the Brazilians had not seen a scale with so many capabilities," adding that "they had no trouble in recognizing and express that «loved» the scale and are «hoping» its arrival ... And we're anxious to start selling!" It was with this sense of a successful presence at Alimentaria that were taken the first steps on a journey expected long and fruitful in the future, since Brazil is one of the biggest bets of Balanças Marques international strategy in the coming years.

Erbil International Fair: Weighbridge to conquer Iraqi market:

In late September, Balanças Marques headed to the Asian continent, where participated, between 23 and 26, in the main fair in Iraq. “The purpose of the first appearance in Erbil International Fair was to show the weighbridge for weighing trucks and the market reaction was spectacular”, said Paulo Marques. "We introduced ourselves in the marketplace with this product only, and the result was fantastic. We know that we are competing with very competitive companies from Turkey and Iran, but our weighbridge leaves no doubt that it is a product of another «championship» and there are many companies in Iraq that want to hire «reinforcements of premier league»". After the fair, and analyzed the impressions obtained, Paulo Marques made a prediction: "I have no doubt that we will quickly build weighbridges in Iraq."
