SG Systems LLC (United States) - SG Systems is delighted to announce the successful implementation of the V5 Traceability Systems at the iconic, Mississippi based frozen dessert brand – Cotton Blues Cheesecake.

Early in 2020, Cotton Blues Cheesecake opened a brand new, purpose designed production facility to meet growing demands for their delicious, innovative cheesecake.

The small batch, artisanal cheesecakes are lovingly manufactured and distributed in the thousands to retailers and hungry customers across the USA.

V5 Formula Control & Lot Traceability:

Keeping track of warehouse inventory, maximizing batch consistency and ease of use were the key requirements presented to SG Systems during the initial scope out meetings. 

The System, which consists of V5 Professional Edition Software allows inventory to be managed, labeled and put away into the correct warehouse locations, while observing strict allergen controls and lot FEFO inventory management.  Cotton Blues selected to run V5 Software in an industrial Tablet with integrated Camera and Barcode Reader.

In Production, a V5 Formula System Terminal connects to a scale and is used as a policeman to ensure the correct ingredients are added at the exact quantities.

Behind the scenes, the V5 Traceability System is keeping track of the ‘who, what, where, when and why’ of production – delivering traceability and minimizing unaccountable errors which are so common but accepted in the food industry.  Cotton Blues Cheesecake has a paperless traceability system that can be relied on for audits to meet their strict internal quality system.
