Datum Electronics (United Kingdom) - Press Release: We are pleased to announce the appointment of James Lees as the new Managing Director of Datum Electronics Ltd. James will be responsible for the future growth of Datum, including strategy, future business growth, customer retention & distribution network.

Prior to joining Datum Electronics, James worked as Sales Director at London Electronics, and has over 14 years of experience in sales, design, and installation of digital instrumentation and visual display solutions and monitoring systems. More recently specialising in custom process monitoring systems, aimed at improving manufacturing efficiencies and process control in varying manufacturing arenas in multiple market segments from Food & Beverage to Automotive to Aerospace. For the past ten years, he secured the company’s largest ongoing contracts, grew with sales totalling £15 million over the period and increased market share for three major products.

In discussions regarding his new appointment, James Lees commented: “I am delighted to have this opportunity to lead Datum Electronics. It is a big privilege to work with a team, dedicated to delivering high-quality products and systems to our customers. I am looking forward to continually improving our torque & shaft power measurement product range, tailoring solutions to our customer needs.”

James will be taking over from Malcolm Habens, who will continue to work at Datum Electronics as Technical Director. He will be involved more in product development and engineering, ensuring that the company continues to bring innovative and reliable products to the industrial and marine markets.
