HBM - Hottinger Baldwin Messtechnik GmbH (Germany) - The HLCB2 load cells from HBM are now also available as a high-precision version with which accuracy class C6 scales can be constructed in compliance with OIML regulations.

These load cells, which are available with maximum capacities ranging from 220 kg to 4.4 t, are characterized by hermetic encapsulation in addition to their very high precision. Dependent on the version, they can reach a degree of protection IP68 or even IP69K. The load cells can therefore also be used in applications where they are exposed to dusty or damp ambients.

The mechanical structure of the load cells ensure that the force application is implemented optimally and measurement errors are avoided. Various loading feet are available to facilitate mechanical construction.

Typical applications for the new HLCB2 load cells can be found in the food or pharmaceutical sectors, for instance in silo or container scales. These areas require both very high accuracy and, for hygienic reasons, the ability to withstand daily cleaning with high-pressure steam cleaners.
