Australian Weighing Equipment (Australia) - Australian Weighing Equipment is currently looking to fill a full-time position of a Service Technician. We require individuals with the ability to self-manage, identify solutions to technical problems. Our technicians are expected to perform service calls to repair, maintain, calibrate, and service weighing equipment. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Perform duties of repairing, calibrating, and servicing weighing equipment
• Troubleshoot & test scales using supplied equipment
• Troubleshoot and calibrate both mechanical and digital scales
• Document all test results and provide complete paperwork
• Programming of equipment (calibration)
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment at all times
• Maintain service vehicles, equipment, tools, and PPE
• Complete-time records, work orders, and logs each day
• Create a positive and respectful work environment

Essential Requirements / Qualifications & Experience:

• Must have a current and valid Drivers licence
• Be able to speak fluent English
• Must be able to pass a full medical examination/test
• High level of presentation
• Strong working knowledge of industrial weighing equipment is an advantage
• NMI Certifications
• Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge is an advantage
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Computer Literate – Ability to send emails, use MS Word and Bright forms (Training to be provided for new systems)
• Willingness and ability to continuously learn
• Prompt, pleasant, positive attitude and follows instructions well
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment
• At least 2 years in a similar role with duties in the scale/weight industry
• Ability to undertake road trips to complete remote work.
