Sartorius AG (Germany) - For our site in Göttingen we are looking for a Category Manager (m|w|d) Plastics as soon as possible. In this challenging role, you will develop the global strategy of the product group plastics. In close coordination with internal stakeholders, you will build up supplier network and develop it further in line with our requirements.

About the job:

• Strategic development of the Plastics category
• Identification, evaluation and further development of our supplier network on a global level
• Active management of existing suppliers in cross-functional coordination
• Global responsibility of purchasing activities for the Plastics category
• Comparison of offers and conclusion of contracts
• Negotiation of prices and delivery conditions
• Contract management of existing contracts
• Observation and analysis of the procurement market including the evaluation of risks
• Implementation and sustainable realisation of a global commodity group strategy
• Planning of future requirements in close coordination with production

About you:

• Completed master's degree with a focus on MBA, business administration or a comparable, job-relevant university education
• Professional experience in category management, sourcing or strategic purchasing
• Experience in supplier management
• Knowledge of the plastics product group, preferably in the pharmaceutical environment
• Ideally you have operational experience in the engineering field
• We require a global willingness to travel (approx. 25%) as well as business fluent English skills
