UltraHawke Pty Ltd (Australia) - A Semi-Pit Weighbridge was recently commissioned as part of major plant upgrade for a metal recycler in Brisbane’s Eagle Farm. The foundations of the Semi-Pit Weighbridge are mounted below ground level with Weighbridge deck flush with the concrete hardstand.

Ultrahawke’s Semi-Pit Weighbridge design eliminates the need for space consuming access ramps which allows vehicles to turn-off the weighbridge immediately the rear wheels have exited the weighing deck. Unlike in-ground Weighbridges which require Confined Space permits for servicing and cleaning, a Semi-Pit Weighbridge has open access to the load cells which can significantly decrease maintenance and cleaning costs.

Fully Australian Made by Ultrahawke in Melbourne, this Semi-Pit Weighbridge was installed by their local agent, Australasia Scales and is fitted with six heavy duty Flintec Weighbridge load cells of 30t capacity each to support the heavy concrete weighing deck.

A Rinstrum digital weight indicator generates the weight readings which are then transmitted via RS-232 serial output to a ticket printer for generating hardcopies of all weighing transactions of the Semi-Pit Weighbridge.
