Sensocar (Spain) - Press Release: This year 2021 we are celebrating our 25th Anniversary! It’s been a long time since Sensocar was founded. The beginnings are always a challenge, and Mr. Ramon Teixidó led the technical part of this new adventure, designing the first load cell models and getting their certifications, offering an alternative approach to the weighing industry. It was 1996.

During the first two years, a major effort was made to obtain certifications for the different types of load cells: single-point, flexion, and shear beam, while the load cell catalog was extended in the following years, adding new models, and reaching a complete portfolio of standard and custom-made solutions.

After starting with few customers, word-of-mouth soon reached the market, proving the quality of the load cells and gaining the trust of some other firms that showed interest in Sensocar’s solutions.

2001 was a key year for the Spanish manufacturer, with the creation of the electronics division, which would soon complement the existing portfolio, and help to create a complete offering for the partners.

The strategy of Sensocar has always been to focus on local production, maintaining facilities in Terrassa, near to Barcelona, and keeping its strategic partners close, ensuring high levels of traceability in their load cells.

Today, twenty-five years later, the firm is run by the second generation of the family, Albert and Núria Teixidó, producing and exporting to more than 90 countries. But the approach remains the same: Quality and Innovation.
