UltraHawke Pty Ltd (Australia) - An Ultrahawke Driver Control Station eliminated the need for a full time Weighbridge operator by allowing drivers to perform Legal for Trade vehicle weighing transactions. The Driver Control Station was sold and installed by Australasia Scales for Queensland Rail in Brisbane with full factory support from Ultrahawke.

The Driver Control Station was supplied as part of a turnkey weighbridge project which included the installation of a twenty-eight meter long quad deck weighbridge. The four individual weighing decks were required to allow axle group weights of B-Doubles to be attained in a single weighing transaction.

Manufactured by Ultrahawke in Melbourne, the Driver Control Station is mounted under cover outside the weighbridge office for easy driver access. Designed for use by drivers with minimal training, Ultrahawke’s Driver Control Station guides truck drivers through the weighing process in a sequenced and logical manner to collect all required vehicle details before the weighing ticket is issued.

Ultrahawke’s Driver Control Station has four Rinstrum R420 digital weight indicators transmitting the weight readings from the individual weighbridge decks to a Summing Indicator then into a touch screen industrial PC for collating with driver entered data. As well as displaying the Gross Vehicle Mass, this multi-deck weighbridge also displays the gross weight of each individual axle group for easy identification of overloaded axles.
