Utilcell (Spain) - Press Release: UTILCELL continues to advance the digital transformation of industrial weighing systems. As part of this effort, a major enhancement has been introduced to the PIN model: it is now offered with a digital CAN bus interface compatible with CANopen or J1939 protocols, broadening its integration capabilities for machinery and mobile equipment.
The PIN model, one of the most adaptable products in our load cell portfolio, is a custom-engineered load pin developed to replace existing shafts and deliver precise load measurement in demanding conditions. Its double-shear construction and high-strength stainless-steel body ensure outstanding durability, reliability, and flexibility in applications such as lifting and crane systems, mobile machinery, medical equipment, and transport solutions.
The new digital CAN bus connectivity improves communication with control systems and weighing electronics by enabling accurate, interference-free digital output, straightforward integration into industrial networks, compatibility with CANopen or J1939 standards, enhanced real-time diagnostics, and greater reliability when operating in harsh environments.
This product line extension complements the existing options already available for the PIN model: IP68 protection, redundant output, built-in amplifier, connector configurations, high-temperature versions capable of withstanding up to 180°C, and ATEX-certified versions for hazardous areas.
With this upgrade, we reaffirm our commitment to delivering adaptable weighing components designed to meet specific application requirements, while preserving the mechanical strength and analogue performance for which the PIN model is known.
