Massload is a leading manufacturer of load cells and force measurement solutions for the Industrial, Agriculture, Mining, Oil & Gas, Construction, Rail, OEM, Transportation, Recycling and Scale Dealers. We are located in Saskatoon Canada.

Founded in 1981 as Prairie Systems and Equipment Ltd., Massload Technologies was a spin-off from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada. The company initially concentrated on strain gauge transducers and soon became a Canadian producer of an extensive array of load cells, electronic instrumentation, and scales for industrial applications throughout North America. By June 1999, Massload had distinguished itself as the first Canadian company to produce NTEP approved load cells suitable for legal-for-trade truck scales.

April 2012 marked another milestone for Massload Technologies Inc., as it became the only VCAP certified load cell manufacturer in Canada. The company maintained its trajectory of innovation and enhancement of manufacturing practices. In 2019, Massload unveiled a new, state-of-the-art design and manufacturing facility spanning 12,500 sq ft. located at 4060 Langer Ave in Saskatoon, consolidating Massload Technologies and Massload Machining & Fabrication under one roof. This integration facilitated shorter production cycles and enhanced customer service efficiency.

In 2021, Massload Technologies achieved a significant breakthrough by finalizing the multi-year project to develop and deploy one of North America’s most advanced high precision PLC controlled Hydraulic Tension Load Cell Testers. This system can deliver forces ranging from 5,000 to 250,000 lbs with NIST calibration up to 150,000 lbs, with potential extension to 250,000 lbs. This innovation underscores Massload’s ongoing commitment to leading-edge technology and product excellence.
