Smartlux 232key Pro
232key enters the weight received from a scale into any application as simulated keystrokes. This allows scales to be easily integrated into processes where data is currently typed in by hand (without the need to modify the target application).
The Pro version of 232key enables you to process received data using custom C# scripts. This allows, for example, the following functionality to be implemented:
- Ignore all weight values below a certain threshold.
- Capture an alibi ID and the weight and type these values into separate fields with TAB added in between.
- Press a custom key sequence before or after entering the weight.
- Decode non-ASCII formats.
For scales which support request-reply protocols, a hotkey (key combination) can be used to send a command to the scale. Predefined device profiles for many popular scales and balances make it easy to get started.
232key Pro supports connections made through COM ports (e.g. RS-232, USB virtual com port, Bluetooth Serial Port Profile) and TCP/IP (for use with serial device servers or scales equipped with an Ethernet interface acting as a TCP server).
