Accuweigh Pty Ltd. (Australia) - Wheel Weigh Pads using wireless connectivity are being used for weighing large mobile cranes manufactured in Western Australia. Supplied by Accuweigh’s Willetton branch in Perth, the wireless connectivity of the Wheel Weigh Pads eliminates potential damage to both the loadcell cables and their connectors.
As well as minimising accidental damage, the wireless connectivity of the Wheel Weigh Pads also minimises setup times by eliminating the need for careful positioning of the load cell cables during setup. Replaceable "D" Cell batteries are used to power each Wheel Weigh Pad and also operate the integrated wireless transmitters for up to 200 hours.
In this client’s application, ten sets of the Wireless Wheel Weigh Pads were required to display the weights on each of the ten wheels fitted to the large mobile cranes. Once the crane's weight distribution is correct and meets legal wheel load requirements, a weight ticket is printed from the control box connected to the Wheel Weigh Pads as proof of legal conformity.
